What is the DMCA?

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) is a United States copyright law that provides a framework for addressing copyright infringement claims on the internet. It establishes procedures for copyright holders to request the removal of infringing content and for service providers to respond to such requests.

MatchMetrics complies with the DMCA and has implemented procedures to handle copyright infringement claims in accordance with the law.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been used in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide us with the following information:

Required Information

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work:A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed.
  2. Location of the infringing material:The specific URL or location where the infringing material appears on our website.
  3. Your contact information:Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. Good faith statement:A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner.
  5. Accuracy statement:A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  6. Signature:Your physical or electronic signature.

How to Submit a DMCA Notice

Response Time: We will respond within 24-48 hours

Our Response Process

Upon Receipt of a Valid DMCA Notice

  1. We will review the notice for completeness and validity
  2. If valid, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
  3. We will notify the user who posted the content about the takedown
  4. We will provide the user with information about the DMCA process

Counter-Notification Process

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification that includes:

  • • Identification of the material that was removed
  • • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake
  • • Your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court
  • • Your contact information and signature

Repeat Infringer Policy

MatchMetrics has a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users who are repeat infringers of copyright. We will terminate accounts that receive multiple valid DMCA notices.

We reserve the right to take any action we deem appropriate, including but not limited to account suspension or termination, to address copyright infringement.

False Claims Warning

Important: Making false claims of copyright infringement is a serious matter and may result in legal consequences. Before submitting a DMCA notice, please ensure that:

  • • You are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  • • The material is actually infringing your copyright
  • • You have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized
  • • The information in your notice is accurate

False claims may result in liability for damages, including costs and attorney fees.
